We are an NGO working with minority and indigenous communities of Kenya

Delivering on our mission and value proposition.

Having achieved significant gains for MIPs through advocating for their recognition, CEMIRIDE has realigned its value proposition to focus on economic empowerment and sustainable livelihoods for MIPs. This realignment puts CEMIRIDE in a better position to tackle their marginalisation and exclusion from development processes that has led to high levels of poverty and conflicts and impeded their ability to contribute significantly to national development.

Our Vision is clear...

A society that recognises and respects minorities’ and indigenous peoples’ rights.

Strengthening the capacities of minorities and indigenous peoples [MIPs] to secure their economic, social, cultural and political rights.

  • Respect for MIP rights as human rights
  • Good Governance
  • Equality and Equity
  • Gender Mainstreaming
  • Respect for Diversity
  • Enhance the principle of responsible Stewardship, Transparency and Accountability
