Nyang'ori Ohenjo · November 6, 2026

The Two-Thirds Gender Principle reflects the constitutional requirement that no more than two-thirds of the members of elective or appointive bodies should be of the same gender. The dialogue took place ahead of the 2027 General Election, when political party nominations, electoral participation and the composition of elected institutions are expected to remain central issues. It provided a forum for stakeholders to consider practical ways of moving from constitutional commitment to implementation.
